The way the author described the relationships between characters swept me up....heart and soul! Surprising great read!!!

Let me start this out by admitting that I am a grown woman with teenage children who enjoys a good paranormal romance, however, many books in this genre are YA...which sometimes leaves me wishing the characters were out of high school and had a little more romance. As a reader, I like the love scenes, they are a natural progression to a relationship which, in paranormal, means they are highly attracted to one another in all ways and I want to read about all of those ways, so thank you, Kristie Cook for writing this series using characters out of high school. The love scenes were written well, they weren't raunchy but they also didn't lead the reader on with two sentences of innuendo, leaving us, the readers having to assume they got it on and it went well. Beyond that though, this is a really great story, I was super surprised that it was as original as it was. I have read plenty of angels and demons books but this one was written better than most. I loved the subtle ways in which this series holds its own in a genre that has so many limitations yet it's boundaries are infinite. I loved it and will continue to try other books by this author!

After starting this book one afternoon, I was hooked!! It took me a week to read the entire series since I couldn't pull myself away...loosing myself in the pages, as well as many nights of sleep. The way the author described the relationships between characters swept me up....heart and soul! As soon as I would finish one book, I was starting the next...my own heart racing along with Alexis's as she experienced her life.

Surprising great read!!!

Let me start this out by admitting that I am a grown woman with teenage children who enjoys a good paranormal romance, however, many books in this genre are YA...which sometimes leaves me wishing the characters were out of high school and had a little more romance. As a reader, I like the love scenes, they are a natural progression to a relationship which, in paranormal, means they are highly attracted to one another in all ways and I want to read about all of those ways, so thank you, Kristie Cook for writing this series using characters out of high school. The love scenes were written well, they weren't raunchy but they also didn't lead the reader on with two sentences of innuendo, leaving us, the readers having to assume they got it on and it went well. Beyond that though, this is a really great story, I was super surprised that it was as original as it was. I have read plenty of angels and demons books but this one was written better than most. I loved the subtle ways in which this series holds its own in a genre that has so many limitations yet it's boundaries are infinite. I loved it and will continue to try other books by this author!

Let me start this out by admitting that I am a grown woman with teenage children who enjoys a good paranormal romance, however, many books in this genre are YA...which sometimes leaves me wishing the characters were out of high school and had a little more romance. As a reader, I like the love scenes, they are a natural progression to a relationship which, in paranormal, means they are highly attracted to one another in all ways and I want to read about all of those ways, so thank you, Kristie Cook for writing this series using characters out of high school. The love scenes were written well, they weren't raunchy but they also didn't lead the reader on with two sentences of innuendo, leaving us, the readers having to assume they got it on and it went well. Beyond that though, this is a really great story, I was super surprised that it was as original as it was. I have read plenty of angels and demons books but this one was written better than most. I loved the subtle ways in which this series holds its own in a genre that has so many limitations yet it's boundaries are infinite. I loved it and will continue to try other books by this author!
